How to use PubToo
Import, adjust, export. Compression runs automatically; you only choose which results to save.
Add your images
Drop images or a folder into the window, or choose files from the picker. The default is Quality 30%. Original files stay unchanged.
Choose a compression mode
Quality adjusts lossy encoding. Size sets a strict file size limit. Reduce sets the maximum as a percentage of the original: reduce by 60% means keep at most 40%. 1 KB = 1,000 bytes; 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes.
Compare the result
Pause after changing a setting and the result updates automatically. Drag to pan and pinch to zoom. Use Fit to see the whole image; click the zoom percentage for 100%. The result card shows file size, dimensions and savings.
Export one or all
Export Image saves the selected result. Export All saves all completed results. Choose an output folder. A number is added when a filename already exists. Failed items can be retried from the context menu.
Sizes and format limits
If a target cannot be met, increase the limit or allow resizing. PNG and GIF do not use a lossy quality slider. JPEG and HEIC replace transparency with white. RAW is rendered using system support, without RAW editing. Animations keep their frames and playback speed; GIF timing is limited to hundredths of a second. Processing limits: 80MP per image, up to 300 animation frames and 256MB decoded animation data.
Purchase and support
PubToo will be a one-time paid download from the Mac App Store, without subscriptions or in-app purchases. The United States price is US$0.99; prices in other stores may differ. Apple handles payment and refund requests.
